Ardent Health Services in Topeka, KS is seeking a day shift, full-time Surgery (OR) Registered Nurse to join our team in Topeka, Kansas.

The RN will coordinate safe patient care delivery, assess patient needs, develop goals, and continually revise care plans while adhering to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act. Strong collaboration with the Nurse Director/Manager and other care team members is essential.

Qualifications

• Current Kansas RN Licensure.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire/transfer.
• ACLS required for Telemetry, ICU, and PCU; chemo for Post-Surg within first year.
• 2-Year Degree; Certifications within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safe patient care delivery for specified patient populations.
• Assess needs, develop and prioritize goals, evaluate care, and revise plans.
• Delegate care to optimize patient outcomes.
• Adhere to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse functions under the direction of the Nurse Director/Manager and is responsible for the coordination of safe patient care delivery for specified and diverse patient populations.
• The RN assesses patient/family needs, develops and prioritizes patient goals, evaluates care delivery, and continually revises the plan of care to meet the biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of the patient/family.
• The RN Delegates care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes.
• The RN adheres to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Current Kansas RN Licensure.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Telemetry, ICU, and PCU need ACLS, and Post-Surg needs Chemo. Completed within the first year of employment
• 2-Year Degree
• Specific Certificationsare required within one year of hire

Preferred Job Requirements:

• 4-Year Degree
• At least one year of recent experience in a similar healthcare setting.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
