Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus is seeking a night shift, part-time Rehabilitation Unit Registered Nurse in Topeka, Kansas.

You will contribute to safe patient care, assess needs, and continuously revise care plans to meet diverse patient requirements. Ideal candidates hold an active Kansas RN license, an Associate’s degree in nursing, and are prepared to obtain BLS within 14 days, with ACLS for ICU/Tele/PCU and oncology certification as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safe patient care delivery for diverse populations under RN supervision.
• Assess patient/family needs, develop and revise goals and care plans.
• Delegate care appropriately to optimize patient outcomes.
• Adhere to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse functions under the direction of the Nurse Director/Manager and is responsible for coordination of safe patient care delivery for specified and diverse patient populations.
• The RN assesses patient/family needs, develops and prioritizes patient goals, evaluates care delivery, and continually revises the plan of care to meet the biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of the patient/family.
• The RN delegates care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes.
• The RN adheres to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
