Job summary

Castleview Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a registered nurse (RN) to join our Price, UT team. You will provide direct patient care, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality outcomes for our community.

Applicants should hold a Utah RN license or a compact license with Utah endorsement, and have an associate's degree in nursing. BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required; one year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and other medical care.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living: hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers and discharge.

Essential Functions

Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.

Documents patient care given.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Accurately performs patient assessments andidentifiespatient needs

• Provides careappropriate tocondition and age of the patient
• Performstimelyandappropriate documentationrelating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• PerformstimelyandaccurateQI assessments

Non-Essential Functions

Attends clinic meetings.

Maintains a clean and safe working environment.

Reports all incidents, hazards, drug interactions, and initiate appropriate action.

Completes safety instructional programs.

Assists other team members when time permits.

Whatwe'relooking for

Applicants should have a current Utah RN license OR a compact license with Utah endorsement andpossessanassociate'sdegree from an accredited nursing school.Additionalrequirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification isrequired.
• ACLS and PALS arerequired.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Minimum Work Experience:

Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT codes, insurance benefits and healthcare backgrounds Required
