Job summary

Castleview Hospital in Price, Utah is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team. You will perform plan-of-care activities, administer medications, and document patient care while collaborating with physicians and care teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

How you’ll contribute as a RN

Required Skills

Essential Functions

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

Non-Essential Functions

• Attends clinic meetings.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Reports all incidents, hazards, drug interactions, and initiate appropriate action.
• Completes safety instructional programs.
• Assists other team members when time permits.

What we’re looking for

• Applicants should have a current Utah RN license OR a compact license with Utah endorsement and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• ACLS and PALS are required.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.
• Minimum Work Experience: Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT codes, insurance benefits and healthcare backgrounds Required
