Qualifications

• Current state RN license or compact with Utah endorsement.
• BLS certification within 60 days of hire.
• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Experience in case management and healthcare regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards.
• Directs operations including patient care delivery, IT, service levels, and complaints.
• Plans staffing: hiring, orientation, evaluation, disciplinary actions, training.
• Prepares and monitors budgets; coordinates internal/external audits.
• Creates an environment for professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and protocols.
• Regular attendance and other duties as assigned.

How you'll contribute as a Director

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical,administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
• Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
• Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Information

Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, contractors, and vendors. Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information. Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

• License: a current state RN license or a compact license with Utah endorsement
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days
• Education: Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred) from an accredited nursing school.
