Responsibilities

• Assist with wound care rounds and document wound tracking.
• Conduct comprehensive unit rounds multiple times daily to ensure timely, quality care.
• Review nursing notes for accuracy and documentation.
• Complete weekly chart audits to ensure compliance with standards.
• Prepare reports for the Director of Nursing and assist with corrective actions.
• Provide direct nursing care as necessary.

Momentum at South Bay is searching for a skilled Registered Nurse Unit Manager to become part of the facility's compassionate and caring team!

Job Description

• Ensure the appropriate transcription of physician order as per policy and provide follow through as appropriate.
• Ensure that physicians are alerted to changes in resident condition, lab work, etc., and obtain orders as indicated.
• Inform nursing personnel of new admissions, ensure that rooms are ready, greet new admissions and escort to rooms. Assist licensed nursing staff with the admission process. Review all admissions assessments for completion and accuracy.
• Make rounds with physicians as necessary and ensures proper record keeping.
• With Wound Doctor assist with wounds rounds weekly by visually inspecting each wound, obtaining accurate measurements and documenting on facility wound tracking log. Recommends treatment changes when appropriate and ensures all skin care interventions are carried out as care planned.
• Perform comprehensive unit rounds at least three times a day to identify concerns and assure correction. These rounds will be performed to provide assurance that residents are receiving appropriate, timely care and services as well as to ensure the environment is maintained in an orderly, clean, and homelike manner.
• Review nurse's notes to ensure documentation is maintained relating to resident’s treatment, medications, and conditions.
• Conduct weekly chart audits to ensure compliance with professional standards and quality of care.
• Complete necessary reports as required by the Director of Nursing.
• Report problem areas to the Director of Nursing and assist in developing and implementing corrective action.
• Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
• Long-term care experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $107,000 - $111,000 per year

Shift:M-F, Weekend as needed
