Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee operations of a unit, supervise nursing staff, and monitor patient care.
  • Engage in staff clinical development and address patient and family education needs.
  • Use the nursing process to meet clinical and psychosocial needs, communicate effectively, and document appropriately.
  • Identify and address clinical, social, and safety issues, and seek opportunities to improve practice.
  • Collaborate with physicians and care team to ensure quality resident care.
  • Record changes in resident conditions and comply with medication and safety policies.
  • Build healthy relationships among staff and promote shared governance.
  • Ensure proper documentation and communication of resident care and status.
  • Implement physician’s orders timely and communicate with families as needed.
Qualifications
  • RN with extensive long-term care experience preferred.
  • Prior administrative experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication, diplomacy, and leadership skills.
