Job summary

Eisenhower Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in our hospital, collaborating with patients, families, peers, physicians and the health care team. You will assess needs, plan, implement and evaluate care in alignment with nursing standards and hospital policy.

Qualified candidates possess a CA RN license, BSN/MSN or enrollment in RN-BSN/RN-MSN within one year of hire, and 3–4 years of Med Surg or Telemetry experience.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN or enrollment in an RN-BSN or RN-MSN program within one year of hire and completion within five years of hire if hired after July 1, 2012
• California RN licensure; BLS from AHA required in all departments upon hire; Additional certifications may be required based on department.

Job Objective:

• Provides direct patient care, collaborates with patients, families, peers, physicians and other members of the health care team in the delivery of health care services to the specific patient population. Assesses patient's needs, plans care, implements and evaluates patient care in accordance with the patient’s needs based on the nurse’s knowledge of growth/development, the hospital and nursing philosophy, policies/procedures and standards. Demonstrates leadership skills and a commitment to professional accountability and growth.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master’s degree in Nursing or enrollment in an RN-BSN or RN-MSN program within one (1) year of hire and completion within five (5) years of hire if hired after July 1, 2012

Licensure/Certification:

• Required: California Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA) required in all departments upon hire, Additional certifications may be required based on assigned department.

Experience:

• Required: 3-4 years of Med Surg or Telemetery RN experience

*A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for full-time RN positions. Part-time RN roles are eligible for a prorated bonus. The bonus is paid in installments of $2,500 with the first paycheck, $2,500 at one year, and $5,000 at two years.
