Job summary

Peterson Health in Kerrville, Texas, is hiring a Full Time Registered Nurse for the hospital's Main Operating Room. Call is required.

You will provide perioperative care, coordinate with surgeons and staff, document care, and support patient safety. Required: Texas RN license, BLS/ACLS within 90 days; preferred CNOR and BSN; one year OR circulating experience.

Qualifications

• Acts as patient advocate during the perioperative period by implementing a plan to protect them from injury, wrong site surgery, infection and retained instruments.
• Coordinates the patient’s care between providers and hospital staff.
• Supports the patient’s physical and emotional needs, while assisting the surgeon.
• Documents care provided accurately and completely, including interventions, equipment, and supplies.
• One or more years circulating experience in a hospital Operating Room.
• Texas license as a Registered Nurse, with BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• CNOR is preferred.
