Peterson Health in Kerrville, TX, is hiring a Full Time Registered Nurse to work in the Main Operating Room. The role includes acting as patient advocate throughout the perioperative period, coordinating care among providers and hospital staff, and supporting the surgeon with patient-centered care.

Required are a nursing degree and Texas RN license, with BLS and ACLS within 90 days. CNOR and BSN preferred; experience in an OR setting is valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Texas RN license with current licensure in Texas.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required within 90 days of hire.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsabilités

What You Will Do

Acts as patient advocate during the perioperative period by implementing a plan to protect them from injury, wrong site surgery, infection and retained instruments. Coordinates the patient’s care between providers and hospital staff. Supports the patient’s physical and emotional needs, while assisting the surgeon. Documents care provided accurately and completely, including interventions, equipment, and supplies.

Required Education

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing

• Texas license as a Registered Nurse.

• One or more years circulating experience in a hospital Operating Room
