Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Texas license as a Registered Nurse with BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• CNOR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as patient advocate during perioperative care by implementing a plan to protect the patient from injury, wrong-site surgery, infection and retained instruments.
• Coordinates the patient’s care between providers and hospital staff.
• Supports the patient’s physical and emotional needs, while assisting the surgeon.
• Documents care provided accurately, including interventions, equipment, and supplies.
