Job summary

Christian Park Healthcare Center in Escanaba, MI is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee and coordinate resident care across assigned shifts. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role includes supervising LPNs, CNAs, and other staff, with a focus on staffing, evaluations, and adherence to policies. Sign-on bonuses are available for FT and PT positions.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Michigan or valid licensure.
• CPR certification (or CPR certification within 90 days of employment) is required.
• 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, Medication Aides, CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work aligning with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff.
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns.
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

SIGN ON BONUS - FT is 15,000 and PT is 7,500

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing, overseeing, and coordinating the delivery of resident care during assigned shifts in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care plans while ensuring the highest degree of quality care and safety. The RN supervises and supports licensed practical nurses (LPNs), certified nursing assistants (CNAs), and other team members to ensure continuity of care and serves as a key resource for residents, families, and staff.
