Job summary

The Laurels of Willow Creek in Virginia is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to lead and mentor skilled nursing staff. The role oversees nursing care, plans and coordinates services, and ensures high-quality resident outcomes in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities include supervising RNs, LPNs, and CNAs; reviewing procedures; coordinating care plans and MDS/CAA processes; and supporting medication administration with clinical oversight.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience supervising in long‑term care or geriatric nursing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing care provided by RNs, LPNs and CNAs.
• Review and implement nursing procedures and systems.
• Assess and optimize the systems supporting resident care and staff performance.
• Apply the nursing process to provide individualized care.
• Contribute to resident assessments and care plans (MDS/CAA).
• Develop and implement care plans based on assessments and interventions.

Are you an experienced RN with a passion for leading and teaching other skilled nursing staff? The RN Shift Supervisor provides, plans, coordinates or manages nursing care and health education for nursing home residents.

Responsibilities:

• Supervises nursing care provided by Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and others
• Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems.
• Assesses and evaluates the systems which facilitate the delivery of quality resident care and performance of staff.
• Uses a systematic approach in the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care.
• Contributes to the resident’s assessment (MDS/CAA’s) and the development of a plan of care.
• Develops a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Evaluates the resident’s responses to nursing interventions.
• Knows the rationale for the effect of medications and treatments and correctly administers the same.

Qualifications:

• Current state license as an RN.
• Current CPR certification and additional certification in nursing specialty desired.
• Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing desired.
