Aaron Manor, part of Ryders Health Management, seeks a compassionate RN Supervisor for a part-time night shift (11:00pm–7:00am) in Chester, CT. You will lead nursing staff, oversee assessments, and ensure high-quality resident care while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates bring an unrestricted CT RN license and at least 2 years in LTAC or skilled nursing with supervisory experience. Join a supportive team focused on resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in CT.
• Minimum 2 years' RN experience in long-term care or skilled nursing; supervisory/charge-nurse preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to assess resident needs, coordinate care, respond to changes in condition, and make sound clinical judgments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage nursing staff on shift to ensure care delivery meets standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform or oversee resident assessments, monitor health status, and coordinate with physicians and care team.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance across resident records, care plans, incident reports, and shift handoffs.
• Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges; coordinate with departments for smooth transitions of care.
• Provide direct nursing care as needed (medications, treatments, IVs, specimens) during shortages or emergencies.
• Mentor and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs; be a point of contact for staff and resident/family issues.
• Ensure unit compliance with facility policies and safety/infection-control standards.

• Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges as assigned; coordinate with appropriate departments to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Provide direct nursing care, when necessary (medications, treatments, IVs, specimen collection, etc.), especially during staffing shortages or emergencies.
• Mentor and support assigned staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs), provide guidance, and act as point of contact for staff and resident/family issues.
• Ensure unit compliance with facility policies, state/federal regulations, safety and infection-control standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut.
• Minimum 2 years' experience working as an RN in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment; supervisory or charge-nurse experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to assess resident needs, coordinate care, respond to changes in condition, and make sound clinical judgments.
• Dependable, with good attendance and ability to work collaboratively as part of a care team.
