Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation in North Carolina is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our care team. Available shifts are 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am with every other weekend required. An unrestricted RN license is required.

A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time employees. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, RNs will plan, coordinate, deliver and evaluate nursing care, educate residents, and work with CNAs to ensure safe, compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted RN license is required.
• Provide and manage nursing care and health education for residents.
• Patience, compassion, and empathetic care for residents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise care provided by CNAs and other staff.
• Coordinate nursing care on the unit and ensure staff competence.
• Provide safe medication-related interventions to residents.
• Transcribe and implement physician orders accurately.
• Conduct assessments and notify physician of status changes.
• Develop care plans based on assessments and implement nursing care.
• Institute appropriate interventions to stabilize conditions and prevent complications.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse (RN) will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents.

These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner.

Some responsibilities of the RN may include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff are capable of providing appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Conduct assessments of the residents and notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.

Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the development of a care plan.
