Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation in North Carolina is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our compassionate care team. The RN will plan, coordinate, and provide nursing care and health education to residents on the unit.

Candidates must hold an unrestricted NC RN license (or a NC-compact license). Prior experience in long-term care is preferred. We offer flexible shifts, a supportive work environment, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time PM shift candidates.

Responsibilities

• Supervise CNAs and other staff to ensure quality care.
• Coordinate nursing care on the unit and ensure appropriate care is provided.

• Perform nursing assessments and notify physician of changes in status.
• Develop and implement plans of care.
• Execute nursing interventions to stabilize residents and prevent complications.
• Contribute to resident assessments and care plan development.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse (RN) will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents. These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner. Some responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) may include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff provide appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents. Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and implement appropriate nursing interventions that may be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.
• Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the development of a care plan.
