Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Canton, GA for the 26/27 school year. This full-time private duty/1:1 role supports a local K-12 district with nursing services, including bus transport with the assigned student.

You will work under clinical guidance, provide medication administration, and participate in care planning within an RN scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Georgia.
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification.
• Competency in pediatric nursing including trach/vent care.
• Ability to implement physician orders within RN scope.
• School-based nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain observation of assigned student throughout the school day, including bus ride to and from school.
• Support chronic condition management and assist with medical procedures as outlined in care plans.
• Provide first aid and medication administration.
• Document care and communicate with school teams.
• Accompany student during transportation and community-based activities when assigned.
• Report significant status changes to supervising RN and family.

Job description

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Canton, GA for the 26/27 school year! This is a full-time private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services. Bus ride with assigned student is required for the position and is included in working hour.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active RN License in Georgia
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification
• Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student including:
  • Pediatric skillset
  • Trach and Vent Care
  • Oxygen and airway management
  • Medication administration
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently
• Ability to safely implement physician orders and care plans within RN scope of practice
• School-based experience highly preferred

WHAT YOU'LL DO
