Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Canton, GA for the 26/27 school year. This is a full-time private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

Bus ride with assigned student is required for the position and is included in working hour. Active RN license in Georgia and BLS CPR/AED certification are required, with pediatric skills and independence in care plans.

Qualifications

• Active RN License in Georgia.
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification.
• Demonstrated competency in pediatric skills including trach and vent care, oxygen management, and medication administration.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• School-based experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous observation of assigned student throughout the school day, including bus ride to and from school.
• Support chronic condition management and assist with medical procedures as outlined in care plans.
• Provide first aid and medication administration.
• Document care and communicate with school teams.
• Accompany student during transportation and community-based activities when assigned.
• Report significant status changes to supervising RN and family.

Minimum Requirements

• Active RN License in Georgia
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification

• Medication administration
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to safely implement physician orders and care plans within RN scope of practice
• School-based experience highly preferred
