Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Respiratory Clinic in Marquette, Michigan. This full-time role offers 8-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday, with 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period).

You will provide direct patient care, administer medications, assist with procedures, and coordinate with the care team to deliver high-quality respiratory services. The ideal candidate holds a Michigan RN license and an associate degree in nursing (bachelor's preferred), BLS-HCP,

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license.
• Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care intervention including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Assists with procedures and documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care including transfers and referrals.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and family and provides education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

How you'll contribute

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Assists with procedures and documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).

Additional requirements include

• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year)
