Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette, located in Michigan, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Respiratory Clinic. This full-time role offers 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, across 7:30a–4p or 8a–4:30p.

You will deliver patient-centered care to individuals with chronic and acute pulmonary conditions alongside a collaborative team. The position emphasizes patient education, coordinated care, and professional growth within Lifepoint Health’s network.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license required.
• Associate degree in nursing; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• BLS-HCP required; ACLS within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Assists with procedures and documents patient care provided.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Assesses learning needs of patient/family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, and condition.
• Advocates for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.

How you'll contribute

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Assists with procedures and documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

What we’re looking for

• Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor’s preferred).
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year)
