Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Respiratory Clinic in Marquette, MI. This full-time position offers day shifts, 1.0 FTE, and a Monday–Friday schedule (7:30a-4p or 8a-4:30p).

You will join a collaborative multidisciplinary team delivering patient-centered care to patients with chronic and acute pulmonary conditions. The role emphasizes plan of care, education, and advocacy, with opportunities for professional growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Michigan RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school; Bachelor's preferred.
• BLS-HCP certification; ACLS certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
• Assists with procedures and documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Acts as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

How you'll contribute

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).

Additional requirements include

• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year)
