Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Rehabilitation RN for our 60-bed inpatient unit. This union, full-time role supports patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic trauma with individualized plans and close collaboration with therapists and physicians.

The role offers a day shift with 3x12 schedules, RN-to-patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6, and a $42.86–$70.31 hourly wage plus a sign-on bonus for eligible

Qualifications

• Current Montana RN license or compact; licensure updated to PSOR if relocating.
• Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred
• BLS certification required; ALS and CCRN preferred
• Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate nursing care to patients recovering from injury, illness, or surgery.
• Assess patient needs, administer medications and treatments, and monitor progress toward rehabilitation goals.
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care plans.
• Educate patients and families on recovery, self-care, medications, and discharge needs.
• Promote patient independence while supporting a safe rehabilitation environment.
• Document care and respond to changes in patient condition.

Our Rehab RNs care for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, spinal cord injury, trauma, amputation, and orthopedic injuries through individualized rehabilitation plans tailored to each patient's goals.

How you'll contribute

A Rehab RN who excels in this role:

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state of Montana RN license or compact. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins. and possess an associate's degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing school.

Additional requirements include:

• Education: Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred

• Certifications: BLS certification required, ALS and CCRN preferred

• Experience: Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
