Job summary

Maria Parham Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Inpatient Rehab on weekend nights (Fri-Sun or Sat-Sun-Mon) at Maria Parham Hospital in Henderson, NC. The role emphasizes plan-of-care delivery, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration to achieve positive patient outcomes.

Requires NC RN license (or compact), ASN; BSN preferred; BLS certification; and at least 1 year of RN experience. Includes benefits and a $20,000 commitment bonus for two years.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in NC (or compact).
• ASN from accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (required).
• One year of RN experience.
• Active NC RN license (single state) or compact; if relocating, licensure updated to new PSOR.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including meds, specimens, and treatments.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with ADLs and mobility.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team for transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Educates patient/family appropriate to age and culture.
• Advocates for patient physical and emotional well-being.
• Measures outcomes to ensure quality of care against goals and standards.
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across a variety of patient needs.
• Use clinical expertise to guide individual plans of care.
• Serve as patient-care innovator with latest technology and best practices.
• Colleagues and management may assign duties as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Assures quality of care by measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards.
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across a variety of patient needs
• Utilize your clinical expertise to guide and implement individualized plans of care
• Serve as a patient-care innovator, using the latest technology and best practices
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
• Bachelor's degree (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
• One year of RN experience
• Active North Carolina RN license (single state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins
