Job summary

Maria Parham Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for inpatient rehab on weekend night shifts at Maria Parham Hospital in Henderson, NC. The role involves delivering high‑quality patient care, medication administration, and thorough documentation to support rehab outcomes.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate transfers, educate patients and families, and advocate for the wellbeing of those in our care while employing the latest best practices.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in NC (or compact license).
  • ASN from an accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • One year of RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration and clinical treatments.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient and family.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care (transfers, discharge, referrals).
  • Educates patient and/or family on care needs and conditions.

$20,000 Commitment bonus - Two Years

Essential Functions
  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient and family.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition and ambulation.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
  • Assures quality of care by measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards.
  • Delivers compassionate, high‑quality care across a variety of patient needs.
  • Utilizes your clinical expertise to guide and implement individualized plans of care.
  • Serves as a patient‑care innovator, using the latest technology and best practices.
  • Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
  • One year of RN experience (preferred, but not required)
