Job summary

Maria Parham Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Inpatient Rehab on Weekend Nights (Fri-Sun or Sat-Sun-Mon) at Maria Parham Hospital, Henderson, NC. This full-time night shift role reports to the Director and includes a $20,000 commitment bonus for two years.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering patient care, documenting care, coordinating with the care team, and educating patients and families. Requires NC RN license (compact allowed) and BLS.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina RN license (or compact)
• ASN from accredited nursing program
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• BLS certification from American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including meds, specimens, and treatments.
• Documents patient care provided accurately.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team, physicians, and families.
• Assists patients with daily living activities and mobility.
• Collaborates across disciplines for transfer, discharge, and referrals.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and conditions.

Report to: Director

Essential Functions:

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Assures quality of care by measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards.
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across a variety of patient needs
• Utilize your clinical expertise to guide and implement individualized plans of care
• Serve as a patient-care innovator, using the latest technology and best practices
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
• Bachelor's degree (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
• One year of RN experience (preferred, but not required)
• Active North Carolina RN license (single state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins
