Job summary

Valley View Health and Rehabilitation in Madison, AL is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to join our long-term care and rehabilitation team. You will provide skilled nursing care, oversee shift operations, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, LPNs, CNAs, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure residents receive high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and physician-ordered interventions
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate findings appropriately
• Supervise and support LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff
• Collaborate with rehabilitation, therapy, dietary, and interdisciplinary teams to support resident recovery goals
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and state and federal regulations
• Educate residents and families regarding care plans and health needs
• Promote a safe environment while following infection prevention and safety protocols

Position Overview
