Job summary

Huntsville Health Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled nursing care in our long-term care and rehabilitation setting. As part-time PRN, you will oversee shifts, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and therapists to ensure residents receive high-quality, patient-centered care.

This flexible role offers day or night shifts and the opportunity to build experience while maintaining work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced long-term care environment.
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and physician-ordered interventions
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate findings appropriately
• Supervise and support LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff
• Collaborate with rehabilitation, therapy, dietary, and interdisciplinary teams to support resident recovery goals
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and state and federal regulations
• Educate residents and families regarding care plans and health needs; promote a safe environment following infection prevention and safety protocols

Position Overview

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide skilled nursing care, oversee clinical operations during your shift, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, LPNs, CNAs, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care.
