Chelsea Hospital in Chelsea, MI seeks a Registered Nurse in the Pre-op/PACU department for a part-time, 12-hour day shift. The RN delivers patient-centered perioperative care for patients before and after surgery in an active operating room environment.

• Collaborate with the OR team to ensure smooth patient flow and high quality perioperative care.

Position Purpose

Nurses in the Pre-op and PACU department care for patients before and after their surgical procedure. In our Operating Room at Chelsea, more than 5,000 inpatient and outpatient surgeries are performed annually in the fields of gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, otorhinolaryngology, podiatry, plastic surgery, and spine surgery.

The Registered Nurse Provides quality patient centered care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs through competent clinical practice and application of the nursing process. They consistently integrate concepts of relationship-based care into practice and serves as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit.

Shift Available

Day Shift – Varying Start Times between 7am and 9am

Status Available

Part time, benefit eligible (48 hours per pay period – every two weeks)

On call requirement – must be within 45 minutes of hospital when on call

Required Qualifications

• Requires current Michigan Nursing License
• ICU and/or Prep/PACU experience preferred.
• ACLS, PALS preferred
