Trinity Health Chelsea Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Atrium East – Med/Surg unit in Chelsea, MI. The role supports patient-centered care for diverse diagnoses with a focus on high-acuity medical and surgical patients.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan Nursing License is required.
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care for Medical-Surgical patients on the Atrium East unit.
• Serve as a clinical and educational resource to unit staff while delivering safe, high-quality care.

Position Purpose

The Registered Nurse Provides quality patient centered care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs through competent clinical practice and application of the nursing process. They consistently integrate concepts of relationship-based care into practice and serves as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit.

Our Atrium East unit at our Chelsea hospital cares for Medical-Surgical patients. Patient diagnoses can vary from medical such as: COPD, Sepsis, withdrawal, GI bleeds, CHF or Surgical: bariatric, Mastectomy, colorectal surgeries, hernias. This unit has 24 beds and specializes in complex high acuity medical and surgical patients with length of stay from 3-5 days.

Shift Available: Night Shift

Status Available: Contingent, not benefit eligible

Minimum requirement of working 24 hours per six week schedule

Required Qualifications

• Requires current Michigan Nursing License
• At least one year of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Graduation from accredited nursing program
• New hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five years
• Canadian Nurses are encouraged to apply
