Job summary

Trinity Health Chelsea Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Atrium East – Med/Surg unit in Chelsea, Michigan. This part-time, night-shift role focuses on delivering patient-centered care and utilizing the nursing process to meet diverse clinical needs.

Responsibilities include providing quality med/surg care to a 24-bed unit with 3–5 day average length of stay, and acting as a clinical and educational resource for the team. Canadian nurses are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Requires current Michigan Nursing License.
• At least one year of Med/Surg RN experience.
• Graduation from accredited nursing program.
• New hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five years.
• Canadian Nurses are encouraged to apply.

Position Purpose:

The Registered Nurse Provides quality patient centered care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs through competent clinical practice and application of the nursing process. They consistently integrate concepts of relationship-based care into practice and serves as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit.

Our Atrium East unit at our Chelsea hospital cares for Medical-Surgical patients. Patient diagnoses can vary from medical such as: COPD, Sepsis, withdrawal, GI bleeds, CHF or Surgical: bariatric, Mastectomy, colorectal surgeries, hernias. This unit has 24 beds and specializes in complex high acuity medical and surgical patients with length of stay from 3-5 days.

Shift Available : Night Shift

Status Available : Part time, benefit eligible (48 hours per pay period – every two weeks)

Weekend and holiday rotation required

Required Qualifications

• Requires current Michigan Nursing License
• At least one year of Med/Surg RN experience required
