RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Newark Beth Israel Medical Center's Post Anesthesia Care Unit in Newark, NJ. The role offers growth within a collaborative, safety-focused environment, with an hourly pay range and a strong emphasis on patient education, teamwork, and evidence-based care.

The RN will conduct comprehensive assessments, administer medications, support physicians, and document in EPIC, ensuring seamless transitions of care for post-anesthesia

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
• AHA BLS, PALS & ACLS certifications
• Associate Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year of hospital experience
• Comfort with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as EPIC

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes early
• Administer medications and provide evidence-based nursing care
• Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely care decisions
• Educate patients and families to support understanding and next steps
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity and safety

To be considered for this RN opportunity

you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS, PALS and ACLS certification. An Associate Science in Nursing degree is required. Bachelor’s degree in nursing is strongly preferred. Minimum 1 yearof hospital experience. Must be comfortable with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. Full-time evening shift Monday – Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation allows you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
