Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Anesth Care Unit in Somerset, NJ. The role is day shift, 40 hours per week, with an hourly pay range of $46.90–$63.44.

The RN will perform assessments, administer care, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, effective patient transitions. Strong emphasis on evidence-based practice, teamwork, and continuous professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS certification is required.
• At least 1 year of critical care experience is required.
• An Associate’s degree in Nursing is required; a Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, intervening early.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers for timely care decisions.
• Deliver clear, compassionate education to patients and families.
