RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Intensive Care Unit-I at RWJ University Hospital New Brunswick. The role is part-time, day shift, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with weekend and holiday rotations.

NJ RN license and BLS are required; BSN preferred, ACLS preferred, and 1–2 years of acute care experience; EPIC EMR familiarity encouraged. The position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing required.
• BLS Certification required.
• ACLS Certification preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• EMR experience with EPIC encouraged.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing strongly preferred or to be completed within 5 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and intervene based on clinical judgment.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and competently.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate timely, evidence-based care.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in rounds and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS Certification. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is strongly preferred or must be completed within 5 years upon hire. ACLS Certification is preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of employment. Prior 1-2 years of RN experience within acute care is highly preferred and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position offers a Part-Time Day Shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday – Friday with weekend and holiday rotations, 36 hours per week, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
