Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem shifts at our Marlton, NJ inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Shifts are 7am–7:30pm (days) or 7pm–7:30am (nights).

Compensation is $55/hr plus a shift differential, with extensive orientation and pathways for potential full-time opportunities. On shift, you will collaborate with a Nursing Assistant, perform admissions/transfers, conduct systematic patient assessments, and document in EPIC.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS required at hire.
• Minimum 1 year as a full-time RN in an acute care, rehab, or related hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and transfers.
• Initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Timely and accurate documentation using EPIC.
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Promote continuous quality improvement; instruct and counsel patients/families.

Schedule: Per Diem (PRN), 7am - 7:30pm (Days) or 7pm - 7:30am (Nights)

On each shift, you will partner with a Nursing Assistant and handle a manageable case load. Together, you will help our patients achieve the outlined goals and milestones based on their unique patient care plan.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid State RN License required
• BLS required at hire
• Minimum of 1 year as a full-time RN in an acute care, med/surg, acute medical rehabilitation or related hospital setting

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN or enrollment in BSN program preferred
• Clinical experience preferred

Per Diem Requirement: Four (4) shifts per 6-week schedule. 2 weekend shifts.

• Weekend Availability is preferred.
