Job summary

Texas Health Southwest in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to staff the PCU/Telemetry unit. The role covers 24 hours weekly with 7p–7a shifts, featuring a magnet facility with level III trauma center designation and stroke/neuro designation.

The ideal candidate holds a Nursing Diploma or ADN (BSN preferred), TX RN licensure, BCLS; ACLS, CPI, NIHSS within set timelines, and 1 year of RN experience or RN residency. PCU/Tele experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing.
• CP I, NIHSS and ACLS certifications within required timeframes.
• 1 year RN experience or RN residency program required.
• PCU/Telemetry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient, plans, intervenes, and evaluates care.
• Maintains age-specific safety/infection control measures.
• Initiates information for patients and families.
• Maintains continuity of patient care across shifts and settings.

Work hours: Part-time, 24 hours weekly, 2-12 hours shifts, 7p - 7a shift

Here’s what you need

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred

• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire

• BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

• ACLS - within 90 days of hire

• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire

• NIHSS - within 90 days of hire

• 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required

• PCU/Tele experience preferred
