Job summary

Texas Health Southwest in Fort Worth seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac PCU. This full-time night position offers 36 hours per week across 3-12 hour shifts, with a magnet facility and strong growth opportunities.

Required: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing, Texas RN license, BCLS/ACLS within timelines, and 1 year of RN experience or residency. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure recognized by Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire; BCLS prior to independent patient care; CPI within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year RN experience or RN residency program completed.
• PCU/Tele and Med/Surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient, plans and implements care, intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates intervention effectiveness and ensures age-specific safety and infection control.
• Maintains continuity of patient care across shifts and transfers.

Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, Night shift.

• Nurse/Patient Ratio: 1:4 depending on acuity
• Patient population: intermediate /telemetry level of care for the post-acute cardiac, general medical, endocrine GI/renal patient population

Here’s What You Need

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
• CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Req
• BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
• ACLS – within 90 days of hire
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
• 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• PCU/Tele and Med/Surg experience preferred
