Job summary

Inova is seeking a Radiology PACU RN to join our team at Fairfax Medical Campus. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week across four 9-hour shifts, with potential on-call and rotating weekend days.

The Radiology PACU team supports Adult and Pediatric Diagnostic Imaging across multiple sites, including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Nuclear Imaging and Radiation Oncology. Ideal candidates will have a BSN and a VA RN license, with 1 year of critical care or PACU experience.

Qualifications

• One year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience is required.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an ADN, must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at hire; ACLS and PALS must be completed in the first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and monitoring of both inpatients and outpatients in all stages of their procedures, including monitored transport from inpatient beds and administration of moderate sedation under the guidance of our radiology specialists after training is complete.
• Pre-op and recovery of the sedated patient (adults and pediatric).
• Floating required on low census days (Pediatric PACU, or Tower (adult PACU) if or when needed).
• Strong PIV placement skills needed.

Radiology PACU RN Qualifications:
