Job summary

Memorial Physician Practices in Ishpeming Township is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our PACU team. The ideal candidate will have a current Michigan RN license and an associate's degree in nursing, with a preference for a bachelor's degree. In this role, you will support patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring they receive the best care possible while collaborating with a compassionate team.

Qualifications

Join a PACU team that thrives on collaboration, clear communication, and putting patients first. You'll use your clinical expertise to monitor and guide patients safely through recovery from anesthesia—making a difference in every moment that matters. How you'll contribute
  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).

Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 1 year)
