Job summary

Pillar of Cedar Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a licensed nurse (RN or LPN) to care for residents and mentor CNAs. You will assess resident needs, develop care plans, and ensure quality care per nursing standards.

The role involves administering medications, coordinating admissions/discharges, and communicating assessment changes to physicians, staff, and families. Shift options include 1st or 2nd shift with every other weekend; a supportive team and bonuses accompany competitive

Qualifications

• Valid RN license or LPN license for State of Iowa.
• CPR certification.
• Demonstrates leadership and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the care and well being of the residents in your charge.
• Direct, train, and mentor CNAs on your team.
• Assess the residents' needs and develop individual care plans.
• Assure quality care is delivered through the utilization of nursing processes and guidelines.
• Identify and communicate changes in residents' status to physicians, staff, and family members.
• Administer medications, treatments, and other direct care as prescribed and indicated.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents.
• Communicate appropriate information to all staff in order to provide a smooth shift transition.
• Investigate and document incidents and accidents as required.
• Report any suspected abuse to appropriate authority.
• Document appropriately as needed or required in PCC.
• Push/pull 30 pounds of force required to move medication carts and to transport residents in wheelchairs.
