Job summary

Pillar of Cedar Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation in Waterloo, IA seeks a Certified Medication Aide (60-hour CMA class) to join our compassionate care team. You will administer medications, help develop individualized care plans, and ensure quality care through established CMA processes.

Your duties include communicating changes in residents’ status to physicians, staff, and families. We offer a competitive hourly wage up to $21.25, pickup bonuses, and a suite of benefits including

Qualifications

• Certified Medication Aide for the State of Iowa (60 hour class)
• Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Assess the residents’ needs and assist in developing and following individual care plans
• Assure quality care is delivered through the utilization of CMA processes and guidelines
• Identify and communicate changes in residents’ status to physicians, staff, and family members
• Administer medications, and other direct care as prescribed and indicated
• Communicate appropriate information to all staff to provide a smooth shift transition
• Report any suspected abuse to appropriate authority
• Document appropriately as needed or required in PCC
• Push/pull 30 pounds of force required to move medication carts and to transport residents in wheelchair
