Job summary

Valley View Medical Center seeks a dedicated Operating Room Nurse (RN) for a full-time role in a smaller hospital setting. You’ll work in a team-focused environment with self-scheduling for flexibility and a department that values ideas, development, and shared ownership of outcomes.

Applicants should have a current RN license and an Associate’s Degree from an accredited nursing school. ACLS/PALS are preferred, and a BSN is preferred as well.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Associate’s Degree from an accredited nursing school.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for
