Job summary

Valley View Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Women’s Services. This per diem, as-needed role supports a smaller hospital setting with a focus on collaborative care and family-centered nursing.

You will perform comprehensive nursing duties, coordinate across disciplines, and provide education to patients and families. BCLS and a nursing degree are required, with ACLS/PALS/NIHSS due within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

  • Current state RN license or eligibility.
  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • BCLS required.
  • ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
  • Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an Associate’s Degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
