Job summary

Valley View Medical Center in Bullhead City, AZ is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our OB Clinic to join a dedicated team. This full-time day shift will involve coordinating care across disciplines and delivering patient-centered services in a smaller hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required.
• Associate's Degree from accredited nursing school must have been completed.
• BSN degree preferred for this OB clinic role.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Coordinates patient care across transfers, discharges, referrals and support needs.
• Provides patient & family education appropriate to age and culture.

How you'll contribute

A OB Clinic RN (RN), who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing school, BSN preferred. Additional requirements include:

• BCLS required
• ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
• One year of experience preferred
