Inova Alexandria Hospital in Virginia seeks an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team on a full-time evening shift (with call).

Work schedule: Two 8-hour shifts (3pm - 11:30pm) and two 12-hour shifts (11am - 11:30pm) per week. The OR offers a wide range of surgical specialties and a Magnet-designated facility with strong safety and quality metrics. A BSN/ADN is required, Virginia RN license, and BLS certification. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 1 year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse.
• BSN or ADN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support with American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships.
• Formulates individualized plans of care based upon assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
• Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions.
• Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel and acts as a resource to resolve issues.
• Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing patients' learning needs.

Full range of Endoscopy services including Heartburn Treatment.

Operating Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities:

Operating Room Registered Nurse Requirements:

• Experience:Requires a minimum of1 yearof direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse.

• License:Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.

Preferred Experience & Certification:

• Experience with the following cases: Ortho, Neuro, Robotics

• Scrubbing experience

• AORN's Periop 101 curriculum completion and/or CNOR
