Inova Alexandria Hospital, a community hospital in Alexandria, VA, seeks an experienced Operating Room RN to join our team. The role offers an evening shift with call and a five 8‑hour shift schedule per week. Eligible nurses may receive sign‑on and relocation bonuses.

We are a 318‑bed facility with 11 OR suites and a broad range of surgical specialties, including orthopedics, robotics, and spine. Inova provides strong benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse.
• BSN or ADN with plan to obtain BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Virginia RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) per AHA.

Responsabilités

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting data and synthesizing findings.
• Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment results.
• Supports and empowers patients and families through the care continuum.
• Advocates for patients' rights and provides counseling as a resource to resolve issues.
• Assesses patients' learning needs and addresses ethical, spiritual, and cultural considerations.

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to join our team. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on & relocation bonuses.

Full time, Evening Shift (with call).

Work Schedule:Five 8-hour shifts (3pm – 11pm) per week .

Comprehensive range of surgical specialties to include, orthopedics-total joints, sports medicine, spine, general ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, robotics, podiatry, and maxillofacial. Full range of Endoscopy services including Heartburn Treatment.

Operating Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities:

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships.
• Formulates individualized plans of care based upon assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
• Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions.
• Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel and acts as a resource to resolve issues.
• Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing patients' learning needs.

Operating Room Registered NurseRequirements:

• Requires a minimum of1 yearof direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse.

Education:

BSN or ADN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.

License:

Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.

Certification:

Basic Life Support with American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience & Certification:

• Experience with the following cases: Trauma, Ortho, Neuro, Robotics
• Scrubbing experience
• AORN's Periop 101 curriculum completion and/or CNOR
