Job summary

InovaHealth seeks experienced Registered Nurses to join our Operating Room teams at multiple Northern Virginia facilities. We offer full-time, part-time, and PRN roles with day, evening, and night shifts to fit diverse schedules.

Candidates must have at least 1 year of OR experience, with BSN or ADN, VA RN license, and BLS. Relocation and sign-on bonuses may be available. Opportunities across Inova Alexandria, Fair Oaks, Loudoun, and Mount Vernon admission areas.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia (Virginia).
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments and interprets data to guide care.
• Forms individualized care plans based on assessments and trends.
• Supports patients and families through the care continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions.
• Advocates for patients' rights and provides guidance to resolve issues.
• Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients and families; assists staff in education.

This role requires a minimum of 1 year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse.Sign on Bonus & Relocation bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Operating Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities:

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships.
• Formulates individualized plans of care based upon assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
• Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions.
• Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel and acts as a resource to resolve issues.
• Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing patients' learning needs.

Operating Room Registered Nurse Requirements:

• Experience:Requires a minimum of1 yearof direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Education:BSN or ADN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• License:Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
• Certification:Basic Life Support with American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience scrubbing
• Trauma level experience
• AORN's Periop 101 curriculum completion and/or CNOR certificate
