Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Fellow for the Women’s Operating Room to join our OR team full-time. This program is ideal for experienced nurses changing specialties and includes sign-on and relocation bonuses.

Spring 2027 cohort begins March 1, and fellows must complete the OR Fellowship after start. The role requires full-time day shift work in a state-of-the-art Women’s OR, with education and structured learning sessions to support transition and growth within

Qualifications

• 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.
• RN license or eligible in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
• Conduct all patient care in a patient- and family-centered manner.
• Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes.
• Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.
• Attend and participate in all learning sessions for successful completion of the RN Fellowship.

Job Description

Inova Fairfax Medical ’s Women’s Operating Room is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Fellow to join our Operating Room team full-time. This position is ideal for Experienced Nurses looking to change specialties. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign-on & relocation bonuses.

*We are currently hiring for the Spring 2027 cohort which begins on March 1st

*Required to go through & complete the OR Fellowship upon start.

Work Schedule: Full time, Day Shift

The Women's Operating Room(Women’s OR)has eight fully functional, state of the art operating rooms that provide care to patients scheduled for General Gynecology, Gynecological Oncology, Urological Gynecology, and Robotic procedures. Other surgical specialties patients may be scheduled for, in conjunction with Gyn surgery, include Urology, General, Colorectal, and Plastics. Each operating room is similarly equipped so that any surgical procedure can be performed in any room. The patient acuity cared for in the Women’s OR consists of ambulatory, same day admission, and in-patient cases, but patients may also come from the Emergency Room, outside facilities, and directly from home or physician’s offices.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• 1year of Registered Nurse clinical experience
• Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing.If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date
• Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN
• Basic Life Support with American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 1year of Acute or Critical Care Registered Nurse experience
