Seeking an experienced RN for a 36-bed adult inpatient Solid Tumor Oncology Unit. This position requires a minimum of one year of licensed RN experience. The schedule is a 36-hour day/night rotation that includes weekends and holidays.

The RN is responsible for providing competent, compassionate, and individualized nursing care for specific patients, including delegation to and supervision of non-professional clinical and support staff. The RN is accountable for the overall nursing care management of a designated group of patients. Collaboration with the Nursing Director and the Patient Care Team is essential to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Nurses also work with patients to meet their needs and expectations. Staff nurses ensure that care is safe, efficient, effective, timely, and culturally, spiritually, and ethnically sensitive. Job Summary

Responsible for interpreting medical care plans, assessing patients' clinical decisions regarding nursing care, ensuring safe and competent nursing care, providing individualized care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records
  • Administer medications and monitor for reactions or side effects
  • Record medical information and vital signs
  • Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions
  • Coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Modify treatment plans based on patient responses and conditions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Position requires direct patient care.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • No experience in lieu of degree not accepted

Licenses and Credentials

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred

Experience

  • 0-1 year of clinical nursing experience required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of practical nursing principles and skills
  • Understanding of care needs for different age groups
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to screen and triage acute patients accurately
