Job summary

Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital is hiring full-time Registered Nurses (RNs) for night shift (7p - 7:30a, 36 hours/week, every third weekend). There is potential for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested.

A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered. The facility is a newly opened 126-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital operating as a joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services.

Qualifications

• A valid State of Pennsylvania Nursing (RN) License is required.
• CPR certification is required upon hire and will be provided at orientation if needed.
• Previous psychiatric, behavioral or mental health nursing experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) on the psychiatric unit.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs for assigned patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure patient safety.

Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a newly opened (July, 2018) 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services.

In addition to a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the new facility will also offer services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women's trauma unit.
