Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking full-time Registered Nurses for day shift (7a - 7:30p, 36 hours/week, every third weekend) with a robust benefits package. There is potential for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested.

Qualifications

• A valid State of Pennsylvania Nursing (RN) License is required.
• Previous psychiatric, behavioral or mental health nursing experience is helpful but not required.
• CPR certification is required upon hire and will be provided at orientation if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day acute psychiatric care to adult patients.
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, and coordinate with the care team.
• Document care plans and participate in rounds and hand-offs.
• Support a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and families.

Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a newly opened (July, 2018) 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services.

In addition to a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the new facility will also offer services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women’s trauma unit.
